THE CHILD CARE DEPARTMENT
Bushikori Christian Centre was founded in 1993 with the vision of providing a sanctuary and support for orphaned and needy children in Uganda. Our centre exists to empower and uplift vulnerable children and communities by offering essential services such as education, healthcare, and emotional support. Since our humble beginnings, we have grown into a trusted pillar of the community, reaching hundreds of children and families in need across the region.
Through God’s grace, dedication from our staff, and support from our donors and partners, we have been able to provide opportunities for those who have nowhere else to turn. We are passionate about offering not just basic needs, but also love, hope, and a brighter future to every child under our care.
What we do
Education Support
We provide quality education at Joshua Primary School, offering day and boarding options to equip children for future success.
Welfare Support
We provide essential support like food, clothing, and basic health care to improve the well-being of orphaned and vulnerable children in our care.
Psychosocial Support
We offer psychosocial care through counseling, spiritual programs, and regular chapel sessions—helping children build emotional strength, hope, and a strong foundation in faith.
Community Outreach
We support education and literacy through our community library, an open, safe space where children can read, learn, and grow together.
